How to Style Men's Hair
There’s an adage that gets around “You’re only as good as your last haircut”. Being a company founded by Barbers, we think that one is pretty true.
Unfortunately, it’s probably not possible for your to visit your barber every single day to look your best. However, what you can do is learn how to style your hair so you look your best after your haircut!
Each different haircut requires a slightly different styling technique, We have an extensive guide of How To’s available here. But, here are some general tips to get your hair in check
Step 1. Find the right product for your hair
There are not many people out there that don’t need a little helping hand from hair styling products. Different hair types and styles need a different styling product, it’s important to find one that will work for your desired look. Step 2. Wash your hair
Washing your hair will make your hair SO much easier to style! We recommend jumping in the shower and washing your hair using Everyday Shampoo followed up with Everyday Conditioner. If your short on time, dampen your hair with a quick rinse of water. This will allow it to sit in it’s natural place
Step 3. Dry your hair
Irrespective of your desired style, the next step is drying your hair. If your wanting a simple style, give your hair a thorough towel dry.
If you’re wanting a style with a little more volume or structure, take a hair dryer on a medium heat and begin to dry your hair. Direct the airflow from the hairdryer across your hair, towards the general desired position. Using a comb or Quiff roller can help this process.
Step 4. Scoop and Spread
Now that your hair is dry, take a small scoop of your styling product. To begin with, this should be no bigger than a finger nail. Spread it thoroughly across your hands until it is evenly dispersed.
Step 5. Apply
Next, begin to rake your hands gently through your hair. If desired, use your fingers to lift sections or your palms to flatten the sides.
Step 6. Style
After you’ve applied the product to your hair, you can begin to finesse your style.
This may be as simple as picking at sections of your hair to enhance texture, or it may require a little more work.
For a sharper style, take a comb and comb your hair into shape. Follow the comb with your spare hand to catch flyaways as you work. Continue to comb until you are happy with your look.
